Ocean Shores photographer Zandra Warland waited patiently for myself to become present to the sadness of war as seen above.
I closed my eyes and pictured this photo I had seen many times on BBC and Al Jazeera News the previous fortnight.
Whilst this photo is already harrowing, the tears that eventually fell from my eyes was the fact that I knew this little 5 year old Syrian Boy, called Omran Daqneesh, will eventually realise he has lost his brother Ali to the bombing of his home. Mercifully both his parents survived.

Charles Crawshaw:
"I am a stand for World Peace by 2020" for several reasons:
1. I MADE A SILENT PROMISE HERE IN 2005 (pictured left) to my slain grandfather "Ng Se Wah" (吳社華) on my mother's side, who was one those remembered with this Sandakan Massacre Memorial; which commemorate 30 Chinese victims, most of the members are local elite of an underground movement, who were executed on 27 May 1945 along with several other victims during the Japanese Occupation of North Borneo. The memorial was built on the spot where the massacre took place and where the victims were buried. It is located near a Chinese cemetery on a hill above the old town centre of Sandakan.
2. My English father was aged 8-14 when WWII German bombers heavily bombed Gt Yarmouth, where he lived with his mother and father, so he was sent north to safer York, to stay with his Auntie (tears galore indeed) and my Chinese mother had her home taken over by the occupying Japanese Army so her life at age 5-11 was spent in hard ship and then the devastation of having her father shot (read above) at the end of World War II.
3. I participated in the Landmark Forum in 1993 (read below) and undertook their training and development courses for the next decade. It gave me the access to see one of my purposes in life: Can I can stop the world fighting for one day as a GIFT to my mother and father, who endured a horrible war, where there was little time for such important things like LOVE and FAMILY. Alas my father died in 2005 yet he did see THAT FAMOUS TV FOOTAGE in 2002 whereupon I significantly remembered him leaving the room with no comment; speechless in fact. My mother is alive and well in Brisbane so we have 4 years until 2020 to cause World Peace; do join me!

What did I learn from the Landmark Forum?
That who I was aged 30, when I did it in 1993 was a function of my childhood. I learnt that my 3 "ontological" (ontology is the study of BEING) moments in my life were as follows: 1. AGE 0 - 5 "Something is wrong around here" ....well I remember when my brother was born 1 and 1/2 years after me, and he was placed in MY COT, I hit him and my mum hit me (for the first time ever) and I decided Mummy doesn't love me , mummy loves "it"! I became INDEPENDENT that very day...I don't need people...mum said I was such an easy baby as she could leave me for hours by myself and I would not mind! After sharing this with my father, he simply said it was sibling rivalry but fundamentally, I didn't believe mum and dad loved me as they loved my brother so much more. (wrong!) 2. AGE 8 - 13 "Somethings wrong around here and I don't belong" .....well mine happened when I was 13 years old, I had chosen to go to boarding school (Greshams) in the UK from HK so the first time I flew and got the underground(TUBE!) to London's Victoria Train station, the woman who was to meet and take care of me was late by half an hour. I cried my eyes out . I was inconsolable and in that moment, I confirmed to myself that my mum and dad didn't love me, so that's why they sent me to boarding school so I decided to become the class clown - I became POPULAR. I would however never let my friends get 'close to me'. 3. AGE 18 - 22 "Something is wrong around here and you are ON YOUR OWN"...essentially a separation from your parents.......well my ontological moment was when I was 18 years old . I was with 4 boarding school boyfriends when we started our Europe trip (planned for 1 year at school and after our A levels) by going to Amsterdam....oh oh! We watched "Suzie and the Banshees" live that night smoking some marijuana and we decided we didn't need a back packers, so we slept in the Vondel Park. Little did we know the Vondel park is recognised as the 3rd worst park in the world for stabbings and muggings after Central Park in New York and one other.....well guess what...... I got stabbed in the ribs and it punctured my lungs! This final ontological moment confirmed :"Somethings wrong around here and your on your own"... Wow. So guess what I became - Fearless, reckless, BRAVE. so to summarize: my 3 moments confirmed I was UNLOVABLE and I became
THIS INSIGHT has allowed me to be completely different around people...I no longer have to be funny or the first one to do something new etc...amazing freedom and but most importantly, my love with my parents had a massive breakthrough...I finally let their love in truly versus getting it kinda with not many deep experiences....now there's an awesome abundance.....very remarkable and true to what the Landmark Forum declares... you can have a BREAKTHROUGH ( something unimaginable) with anything that is important to you in your life right now. The Landmark Forum put my past in the past where it belongs, and it gave me a BLANK CANVAS to create my life. Over the 10 years, I lived into futures like "Bold Leadership Causing the Unimaginable" and "Global Leaders Causing Causing" which gave myself amazing results. Indeed I created the Ceasefire Project in 1995 (The Causing of World Peace through the use of FIRE) and it was this 5 YEAR STAND that gave me the invitation to open the Sydney Olympic Games with a BUSH FIRE segment. Personally, I have had over 100 friends and family participate in the Landmark Forum and all of them have caused great breakthroughs in their lives for whatever was important to them at that time.
