“NEW BYRON BOUNCERS TEAM FORMED”
The 4 April 2018 marks the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast. With that in mind, and with experience in entering his fire breathers into the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games on the 15 September 2000, Charles Crawshaw is inviting Byron Shire residents to join him with a pair of ‘bouncy boots’ and create the “Byron Bouncers”.
Our pitch to the Boston-based business Jack Morton, who are managing the opening and closing ceremonies of the games, will include several ‘synchronised’ bounce routines. All the bouncers will be musically linked through MP3 sunglasses such that jumps/flips/twists will be perfectly timed and choreographed.
With a commitment to proudly show fit Australians tearing across the stadium, some bouncers may include flame throwing in continuance of the “Bush Fire” segment launched at the Sydney Olympics; all of which is a stand for World Peace by 2020.
“I am excited about creating a fun loving team here in Byron Bay where we can promote fitness and enjoyment.”Crawshaw said recently. “ If you can imagine a squad of 200 bouncing people, the vision this will create , especially with what we are wearing, will surely place a thrilling smile across many people’s lips!”
